Methods to identify the quality of redispersible latex powder
1. Mix the redispersible latex powder and water in a ratio of 1:5, stir evenly and let it sit for 5 minutes, then observe the sediment on the bottom layer. Generally, the less sediment, the better the quality of the redispersible latex powder.
2. Weigh an appropriate amount of latex powder, put it into a metal container after weighing, heat it to about 500 degrees, burn it at a high temperature of 500 degrees, and then weigh it after cooling. The lighter the weight, the better the quality.
3. Mix the redispersible latex powder and water in a ratio of 1:2, stir evenly and let it sit for 2 minutes. Stir evenly again. Pour the solution onto a clean glass lying flat, place the glass in a ventilated and shaded place, and mix thoroughly. After drying, peel off the coating on the glass and observe the polymer film. The more transparent it is, the better the quality of the latex powder. Then pull the film appropriately. The better the elasticity, the better the quality. Cut the film into strips. Soak it in water and observe it after 1 day. The one with less dissolved content is of better quality.
4. Use carton board or thin board to apply glue to test. Take two small carton boards or thin boards of equal size, apply glue to the interface of the sample, and apply glue evenly. Place the two small boards coated with glue face to face, lay them flat, and use a weight of 500g-1000g. After applying pressure to the object for 30 minutes, remove it for inspection. If it can bond firmly and destroy the interface, it is a good quality rubber powder product. If the interface can only be partially destroyed, it means that the bonding strength of the rubber powder is not very good and the quality is unqualified. If the interface is intact and has not been damaged, it means it is of poor quality and counterfeit.
